Homosexuals Should Be Able To Marry. Able To Marry 2 Due to the numerous contentious disputes that have arisen in the I do support gay marriage, I do believe that domestic companionship should allowed for gay and lesbians, giving a person the liberty to court and share their love with whomever they so choose, but the blessedness of marriage shouldn’t only persist exclusively between man and woman. Homosexuals should have the same rights to marry the person that they love. "We cannot accept the view that Amendment 2's prohibition on specific legal protections does no more than deprive homosexuals of special rights. To the contrary, the amendment imposes a special disability on those persons alone. Homosexuals are forbidden the safeguards that others enjoy or may seek without constraint" (J.A Kennedy,2009) The truth is, I think it is sick that here in the United States, gay marriage is not a federally protected right. This is bigotry, pure and simple, and it needs to stop. Denying two women or two men the right to marry is as cruel and absurd as it was to deny two straight people of different races the right to marry. Maybe I'm missing something, but doesn't the Constitution of the United States guarantee everyone the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? Seems to me that this guarantee alone should be enough to legitimatize gay marriage, since it's mighty hard to feel very free if you don't have the right to marry the person you love “the pursuit of happiness”.These privileges and accountabilities apply to only man and Able To Marry 3 woman couples from the 1996 Defense of Marriage Acts.
