Home School is a Great Choice Ray Drouillard once said, "The idea is to educate, not follow anyone's schedule about when something should be studied." The quote suggests that a home school does not restrain children to learn in a forced environment, and educate children in a more motivating manner. Home schooling is a way to educate children at home. In home schooling, parents are the ones who tailor their children’s learning program and educate the children themselves. It has been a common trend around the world opting their children’s education for home school than sending them to public school.
Home Schooling versus Private and Public Schooling: Summary 1: What kind of benefits and opportunities our children get by homeschooling? Some parents take advantage of this opportunity and choose to home school their children. Parents make this choice for a number of reasons. Some parents may want their child or children to go to a private school, but the tuition may be entirely too expensive. It also seems reasonable to conclude that many parents have lost their faith in the public school system.
Little Blessings Home Liturgy with Children Pritchard, Gretchen W. “Home Liturgy with Children.”Liturgy 21.4(2006):39-45. Subject: Religious- families’ belief; Children: full of imagination When lower cast families often think of teaching their children to be religious, they often think of a formal church setting, but many families have found that teaching faith in the comfort of their own homes has given them a better way of communicating with their children. By starting at an early age when they are unaware, it seems they are taught more easily. Although many families may teach and preach to their children, they don’t stand to their own belief. Teaching your child to open the Bible, to pray, and having a holy meal can show good morals, but what good is it if a parent doesn’t follow the example?
A Homeschooling curriculum incorporates more subjects compared to public schools curricula. It has been stated that colleges preferably looking to recruiting home educated students. Public schools curricula are taught by certified educated instructors. Public school curricula also offer sports programs, and art and music programs, but public school curricula are chosen based upon his or her area instead of their choice. Classes are taught at a mid-learning level, which can cause an advanced learner to become bored and loose interest in learning.
The influences of religion within the family affects our perspective and world view. Many families are strongly influenced by their parents religious traditions and beliefs. While the world is diverse in their religious traditions and beliefs, religion governs our concept that there is a higher or superior being that we are accountable too. As children, we learn the same family religious faith as our parents learn from their mothers and
Social control is the attempt by society for people to regulate people’s thoughts and behavior (Macionis, 2017). An noted before, our community has a strong Apostolic presence. It is very common for parents and church elders to encourage and persuade the youth to repent and join the church. Sometimes they use the fear of going to hell to persuade them. Technology is the knowledge that people use to make a way of life in their surroundings (Macionis, 2017).
Children need to interact with other children their age for many different reasons. The parent is making the child become dependent on them. Allowing the child to experience a public school setting lets the child understand the rights and wrongs of society, and understand the concept of teambuilding. Parents believe that if they are the teacher and their home is the school; that the child is in the best and most safe environment. Trying to learn at a home setting can be comfortable but at the same time it can be a big distraction.
Luke 6:40 states that “A student is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher.” I feel that this verse explains a lot on how a child will act in their environment. If the child is raised in a Christian environment they will become saved through the evidence of the parent’s beliefs. A child will not feel comfortable with their family if they are trying to force Christianity on them. By forcing a religion on them, they will not enjoy God, and for that reason they will not ever want to become saved. A child just needs someone to share the gospel with them, talk to them about what they believe, and to pray with them so they can receive a better understanding of Christianity.
