I knew that i wanted to go on holiday somewhere special to celebrate my graduation. Yes i know what you are thinking...a week in Blackpool would probably have sufficed. But anyone that has 6 months to go of a degree or similar will know how difficult it is to get motivated. This was my motivation. And it paid off because i achieved a First Class Honours degree!. Anyway, after flicking through loads of travel brochures and absorbing all the pictures, i longed to go to the place with the bluest seas and the whitest beaches. To be honest, I thought the Maldives were too expensive for us but after many hours searching online, i found a fantastic travel agents in Manchester (I live in Scotland) who gave us a cracking deal. Therfore, i booked a 2 week break at Hakuraa Club for £2500 all inclusive. Bear in mind that i only had to pay for flights to Gatwick (very cheap - with EasyJet) and a hotel to stay in before we flew back to Edinburgh. Hakuraa club is one of the cheaper resorts, and i was a bit concerned that it was going to be a bit of a let down compared with the many other top notch resorts i had looked into. I am pleased to say i was proved wrong. The flight over wasn't great, but are any 10 hour long haul flights? When we got to Male Airport we were quickly transferred to the seaplaneairport. After an hour or so wait we boarded our sea plane. I would highly recommend this type of transfer to anyone. The view from the plane is incredible and the water is so blue. After 30 minutes we arrived at our resort where we were met by the staff with a cold towel (much appreciated) and a cook drink (also appreciated!). We were then given a little chat and our room key. Off we trotted to our room - a water bungalow. This was the standard accomodation on the island, so we knew everyone was in the same kind of rooms (unlike other resorts where you can have a range of better
