I was afraid of heights, so at one time I told my parents that I was too scare to do it, but I had no choice because the tickets was already bought. On the day of the flight my family woke up at 6:00am and we were out the door at 7:00am. We have already packed 3 days ahead of times so that I knew I wasn’t missing anything as we head to Tan Son Nhat International Airport, located seven kilometers (4.3 miles) to the center of Ho Chi Minh City, and is the largest airport in the country. The ride that I had to get there has to be the longest ride I have been on. When I was on the car ride to the Airport it felt like time had slowed down and it was torturing me for how long it took to get there.
The plane ride was long, but I was very comfortable the whole way. I was so full on delicious food by the time I got to Texas I didn't even eat dinner there. I got my baggage and took a cab to the the hotel that I was going to be staying in. Shortly after arriving, I went to sleep to prepare for the tournament which started promptly the next day.
Hammett Farms Park Hammett Farms Park is a fun place to spend the afternoon. Being the only park in my neighborhood Hammett Farms Park is a place filled with laughter and smiles. The park has the structure of a pirate ship worn out from the years. The long red slide is the most thrilling ride in the park. You can always find a big smile at the end of the long red slide.
Air Canada’s Infamous Infrastructure It is 6:45 in the morning and I cannot stop thinking about the long trek I have ahead of me. Nine and half hours of flying, with a total of thirteen hours of total travel, that leaves three and half hours of waiting around! I am definitely not looking forward to this. Okay enough whining, I better go meet up with my team. Travelling with my team is definitely less stressful then when I do it myself.
October 31, 2011 Year 8 – English Sandstorm When I learnt that my squadron was in Greece, I wasted no time. The next day early in the morning, I went to the hospital and said farewells to my doctors and to Nurse Mary Welland. I got on my Hurricane’s cockpit and flew South-East away from Alexandria. After a few hours, I realized that I wasn’t flying over the Mediterranean Sea. Where was I heading?
The first days of my visit had me Awestruck, but sadden to leave. Robert, my boyfriend came in and woke me up for 10am.We left the house, and as we began to leave; my excitement level rose at the surroundings and scenery on the way down to Key West. I observed there was more bars; then department and grocery stores. On the islands of Key West and Big Pine Key only have one grocery store. We spent most of our day water skiing, and parasailing.
I forget how many levels of the ship there were, but it seemed like a lot because by the time we got to the top it seemed like we had been walking through it forever. Getting to the top was pretty cool because they had a lot of old jet planes up there and we were able to sit in some of them and take pictures. At the end of the day, I remember being very worn out from all the walking around. After all the nice, fun, and relaxing days in California our weekend vacation came to end and we all had to head back to Arizona. Keep in mind, we are still driving the minivan until we reach Yuma again and can pick up the SUV that was being worked on.
Meagan starting to become good friends with one of my best friends, Erika. The following weekend I went over to Erika’s house. As soon as I walked in the door I spotted Meagan. I kept thinking to myself that I just had to ignore her. Surprisingly, I had begun to like her after an hour.
Tiffany Harmon ENGL 1010 Mr. Vines 9 Sep. 2015 If you haven't visited Buffalo Mountain; you should really take a trip just to bear witness to the beauty. The view in the fall is breathtaking. David, my boyfriend at the time, took me to Buffalo Mountain for our first date. Buffalo Mountain means more to me than just a beautiful view. It's where I fell in love with my husband, where my life started, and where I learned to let go and trust fate.
He had since returned from a deployment to Afghanistan and gotten divorced, so we started the summer off with a weeklong hiking trip, reminiscent of the early summers. It was a great bonding time and my dad seemed more lighthearted than he had in years. We talked a lot about my plans for college and I was hopeful that this trip would be a positive experience. We were to spend the rest of the summer in Eagle Mountain where my dad moved with his new wife. I got a job as a lifeguard at the family pool facility on the military base, working everyday trying to save money for school.
