Soon the colonies started to boycott, this resulted in a decrease in british trade for three years which eventually lead to the Townshend Acts being repealed by the prime minister. The Townshend Acts led to the Boston Massacre which was The Boston Massacre happened on March 5, 1770 when the british army killed five civilians when taxes where being collected. Another result of the Townshend Acts was the reorganization of the Sons of Liberty. Merchants and smugglers in the colonies organized boycotts to put pressure Brittan to repeal the Townshend Acts.The townshend acts were finally repealed on the 5 of March 1770, the same day as the Boston Massacre. The Prime Minister presented a motion in the House of Commons that called for partial repeal of the Townshend Revenue Act.
President Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna, the president of Mexico at the time, started to move the governmental system of Mexico towards a dictatorship. This in conjunction with the annulment of the constitution of 1824 early in the year of 1835 cause compelled large numbers of federalists to revolt. Though Texas was a part of Mexico at the time, many of its residents were used to a federalist government paired with vast amounts of freedoms. One of these freedoms that these residents missed the most was freedom, and the right, to own slaves. The Texians became quite displeased with Mexico’s shift towards centralism and their abolition of slavery in 1831.
Although various Armenian states exercised sovereignty in the ancient and medieval periods, the region was most often dominated by more powerful neighbors, including Persia, Rome, the Seljuk Turks, and the Ottoman Turks. As Christians, Armenians were subject to frequent persecution at the hands of Islamic governments. In the 1890s, an Ottoman attempt to rid the empire of this troublesome minority led to the murder of several hundred thousand Armenians and an international call for reforms. After Ottoman defeat in World War I, Armenia briefly declared a republic (1918). Fearing Turkish aggression, the country accepted the protection of the Soviets in 1920 and in 1922 joined with Georgia and Azerbaijan to form the Transcaucasian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic within the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR).

That the Armenian population formed a significant minority in this region would figure prominently in the calculations of the Young Turks who would eventually carry out the Armenian Genocide. An important consequence of the Balkan Wars was also the mass expulsion of Muslims (known as muhajirs) from the Balkans. In fact, beginning in the mid-nineteenth century, hundreds of thousands of Muslims, including Circassians and Chechens, were expelled or forced to flee from the Caucasus and the Balkans (Rumelia) as a result of the Russo-Turkish wars and the conflicts in the Balkans.
Through the 1340's the plague spread towards the west, reaching Constantinople in 1347, then Egypt where a thousand people a day died in Alexandria, and in Cairo seven thousand a day. The disease travelled by ship as well as by land, and by then end of 1347 it had affected Cyprus, Sicily and Italy. In the following year it reached Paris, England and Germany, with 1348 being the climax and the worst year of the plague. The disease tended to follow trade routes, and concentrate in cities. It came from the Near East, into the western Mediterranean, then into northern Europe and finally back into Russia.
