Born into a white, aristocratic family in New York City, Roosevelt began her life standing on the perfect foundation off of which she could propel into future success. However, unlike the many others who essentially stood on that same foundation, Roosevelt attained the personal ideals necessary to take full advantage of her opportunities. This document will focus on Roosevelt’s entire life, which spans from 1884 to 1962, during which occurred the two infamous World Wars, the Great Depression, and the beginnings of the Civil Rights Movement. All of these events were arenas in which Eleanor Roosevelt utilized her role as First Lady to help society significantly. Roosevelt spent most of her days in New York City and Washington D.C but also traveled to many countries to promote freedom and human rights throughout the world.
Ms. Winfred is a successful leader because she gives both charismatic and transformational leadership that allows her vision to come true. In 1991 she led the National Child Protection Act that protected children form child abusers and in 1993 this Act became a law which was called the Oprah Bill Law because of Bill Clinton. In 1986 Opera already had her own production company called Harpo Production. This business brought entertainment project to production. Ms. Winfrey was the first lady in history to own and produce her own talk show in 1988.
Clinton took office at the end of the Cold War which made him the first president of the baby boomer generation. Throughout his political career Clinton has been described as a New Democrat. He is an alumnus of Georgetown University and earned a Rhodes scholarship to attend the University of Oxford. His wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton, has served as the United States Secretary of State since 2009 and was also a Senator from New York. Both Clintons received law degrees from Yale Law School.
Each state is allotted two senators which means that the senate is made up of a total of one hundred senators. “Congress is the legislative, or lawmaking, branch of our national government. Naturally, there are going to be advantages and disadvantages of a system like congress. One of the positive effects of Congress as an institution is that the people of America are well represented. The American citizens are the ones that choose their lawmakers, so in a sense, what happens in Congress is a result of the decisions of everyday Americans.
The September 10, 2009 Wall Street Journal article, “Why are Jews Liberal?” researched and found that since 1928, the average Jewish vote for the Democrat in presidential elections has been an amazing 75 percent (2009. Wall Street Journal Online). Krugman was brought up in a traditional Jewish home (2011. The New York Times). And, as pointed out in Chapter 6 of ‘We the People’, family is the leading agent of political socialization (2011. p. 192).

Bill Clinton, former President of the United States, is from our area. A president, for goodness sakes, and, arguably, one of the finest diplomats since John F. Kennedy. There are men and women who own multi-million dollar corporations right here in our community. We are doctors, lawyers, educators, world leaders, and I went to high school with a boy who is, literally, a rocket scientist. I am personal friends with, and sit on the panel with, the woman who is the chairperson for the international conference which sets standards for education and treatment policies for professionals in the chemical dependency field.

It’s time to work together on a bipartisan basis.” (Lowrey, A20) She supports the view point of view by using information from people who is in charge and know what’s going on, which makes you believe even more.
