Scene Analysis Essay The movie ‘Hugo’ is set in Paris in the early 1930s after the First World War. Hugo Cabret is a young orphan who lives in the train station clock tower. He was supposed to be the apprentice of his uncle in the clock tower after his father died in a fire. But his no good drunkard uncle disappeared and he found himself operating the clock tower alone, while having no means to cash his uncle’s salary. His will to live stems from the fact that he wants to solve the mystery behind the automaton, the only thing his father left him.
Jack Todd (2/15/2015 writing 1 Dr. Lord Breakfast at Sally’s: One Homeless Man’s Inspirational Journey by Richard LeMieux depicts a story of friendship, and honor. Richard, a once Rich business man is cast out onto the streets when his business falls through. For a few weeks he lives out of a campground with just his dog Willow. After a short time He ends up at the Salvation army. A place the homeless in Bremerton call “Sally’s.” It is at Sally’s that Richard discovers there is still a life ahead of him.
The scenery is breath-taking and the animals look very real. Roger Ebert states, “The effects in this movie are so skillful that the animals look about as real as any of the other characters” (Ebert, par 12). This film is complete in awesome performances in both acting and special effects and is perfect for those in need of a dose of goodness. Families can enjoy watching this film together. It was a great movie with themes including: good versus evil and Christianity.

Throughout the film, it shows the inventor’s daily routine of life – going to work, putting together the Happy product and then going home and inventing his own product ‘Bliss’. The repetitive lifestyle he lives is contrasted to the completion of his product. It gives birth to a colourful world that is viewed by most people. His product is a success but the inventor soon realises he himself is somewhat of a failure. The use of repetition demonstrates the harsh nature of life for everyone.
CHAPTER 1 In the beginning of the chapter the main character “Terry Anders” and his parents are introduced. Terry mows lawns on his spare time and he loves working with motors. He is a very lonely boy with only one friend name Thor who’s moving to Africa. Terry’s parents neglect him and are always arguing with each other. Then both of his parents think that the other is staying with Terry so they leave him and never come back.

Some of the main ideas/the main idea I have explored and developed throughout the film include/is hope, friendship, sympathy with help of various film techniques I have included such as different camera shots and angles, lighting, sound, and mise en scene. The main characters such as Andy Dufresne displayed as the mythic hero and Red being the guide through the film and the other minor characters have also assisted to represent them. The idea I will start to speak about is hope/ Hope is the main idea throughout my film. This is one of the reasons my film is so popular and well-received. It explores this universal theme by presenting characters at the lowest points in their lives and showing that it is worthwhile hoping for things to change.
