High school students with the learning of English: Problems and suggestions. Essay: English has become so internationally important in today’s life that more and more people try to learn it well. But not all of them can achieve success, and high school students also face many problems of studying English, both objectively, and subjectively. However, any problems have its solutions, as discussed below. The first aspect to point out is some problems cropping up during our English studying. These problems can be caused by the lack of learning methods, materials and equipment. You do not have the effective method in learning English, such as just following the teachers’ instructions or being hopelessly inactive in studying. What is more, your family’s finance does not allow you to invest much in buying learning materials. Many students lack experience in finding useful and appropriate reference books. Briefly, there are many problems that affect us objectively and make it harder for us to study English well. On the other hand, we can be overwhelmed by problems brought about by the lack of confidence, endurance and practice. Some of us are desperately afraid of the crowd. They feel scared to talk in front of many people and to some English learners, it is extremely hard for them to communicate with foreigners. Moreover, some are afraid of speak their mind, in other words, the skill of presentation. In addition, the problems of endurance do radically affect us. There are students who easily give up when problems occur, which is synonymous with failure. High school students have so many subjects to learn that they do not have much time to practice English. They have to study hard for the entrance exam to university; gifted students attend many further exams, so they are constantly busy studying their major.
