The Lightning Thief is written by Rick Riordan. The simplest definition for the heroic pattern is pretty much call to adventure. The heroic pattern is basically made up of four parts that tells the story. The order is early life, adulthood, quest, and finally the return home. In this case, Percy is called to adventure which is his quest to find a lightning bolt. Percy is a typical boy who has ADHD, a disorder, that affects him quite often.
