Health Vs Wealth Dave DeVaughn Devry University HEALTH IS WEALTH Introduction In the modern competitive world, we all are running to compete with each other and in the process, we have completely ignored our health. For me, health is wealth. To gain a healthy body and good health we should follow a healthy lifestyle. Generally wrong or unhealthy lifestyle is the root cause of many problems or we can say many diseases. We generally tend to ignore the health risks in trying to move too fast and do things quickly. Whether it is the fast food intake or not getting adequate sleep, our health is affected by such habits. In the short run, you might be able to do a bit more work, get promoted quickly in your company, save time by having that quick burger, take your lunch or dinner late at your own convenience or work pressure, the disadvantages of ignoring the associated health risks is way too high to be ignored. Everyone seems to be running after money and people do seem to value money more than health. Well, everyone needs money to get what they want, to get all the luxuries and pleasures which come with it. I believe, money is important but it is not the only thing in life which can bring happiness to anyone. The pleasures and the luxuries might bring short term happiness but in the process, health will take a hit which would result in similar degree of pain in the future. A few simple things to do to stay healthy are good sleep, exercise, eat healthy food and on time. In this paper, I will discuss that how unhealthy lifestyle effects the health and how to lead a healthy lifestyle.
