Rohm and Haas Case Write Up 1) What is Kathon MWX really worth to users? (.5 - .75pg) Kathon MWX was developed to kill bacteria and fungi in tanks under 1000 gallons, and is meant to save the customers money and time, but also provide convenience and safety. This product extends the life of fluids, allowing the customer to save money on new fluid, metalworking fluid concentrate, and waste disposal. These cost savings are described in detail in Table 1. By extending the life of fluids, the customer also saves time on draining and refilling fluid tanks, thus reducing downtime.
The value proposition to plumbers is reduced installation time. The time decreased from the standard two days for a traditional shower installation to a half-day for the Quartz. Along with reduced installation time, there is also an improvement in the ease of installation due to the fact that the plumber only had to drill a hole to accommodate the pipe feeding the mixed water into the shower. The improvement in ease of installationwas so much so that the master plumbers were able to send apprentices out to complete the entire job. The value
During the reign of William the Conqueror there were many small, also big changes but there wasn’t really a revolution in government and administration. The sheriffs weren’t really efficient so they were suspended which is to a small extent a revolution. William also started the Domesday Book. Men were send all over the country so they would visit every shire to find out what land the king had and what taxes he could get for it, also what lands the bishops and earls had and how much taxes the owed the king. The Domesday Book helped to establish control and was an improvement for the English government as William got more information about his finances.
This had a much more positive effect because while the villagers lost land the enclosure resulted in efficient farming that produced more food. Before this happened there were people dying of hunger and very young so thy ay have lost land but gained food and a longer life span for themselves and their children. This agricultural revolution also came to revolutionize how we live and go about our lives. The second aspect of the Industrial Revolution came in the textile industry which was the most important part of this revolution. Cotton became the fabric of choice instead of wool, linen or silk.
The painting was commissioned by a leader of the workhouse who will have told the artist to show the workhouse in a better light. I know that this may have happened as conditions were not strictly regulated at the time and those who ran the workhouses did not want to waste expense as the more they saved, the more they could keep in the bank. This meant that appalling conditions were often let slip, as no one investigated and commissioned paintings like this could have been bought off to give the appearance of things being better than they actually were. However, this painting as a source itself suggests that Old Poor Law was effective in helping the able-bodied poor. Source M is an extract from William Cobbett’s ‘Rural Rides’, published in 1830.
Conveniences help us to work better and more efficient. Few decades ago, water would have to be taken from wall. It takes a long time to do, and it’s not clean. But when pipes are invented, people can just open the tap, and there is water. It saved us human tons of time, and also gives us clean water.

The fact that I don't have to drive to a recycling center made it a lot easier. I began to be more environmentally friendly even before I moved to Santa Cruz. Like many people, I was growing frustrated by the completely wasteful behavior exhibited by society. Dealerships were selling out
Big cities on the other hand sometimes tend to be very messy. The only reason some cities aren’t very messy is because the city employees make sure that it's not messy by cleaning up, doing a lot more work than they should have to do. The people in bigger cities don't really care to clean up unless it benefits them and most of the time the only time that they realize that it benefits them is if it's in their own backyard. The Schools in smaller towns are more personable. Schools in small towns take time out to help students, even with their personal situations.
To help do away with the world view of the “ugly American,” Americans should take on this practice of removing their shoes before entering a home. Most people enjoy having clean homes, and by removing shoes, the cleaning process would not be as taxing because there would be less to clean. Simply wiping one’s shoes on a doormat reduces the amount of contaminates entering the house, as Dern states, “The professional cleaning industry estimates that we track 85% of the dirt in our homes in from the outside on our shoes or paws of pets” (n.p.). Taking shoes off before entering a house can save time and money, because less cleaning means fewer investments in cleaning products. Furthermore, it will lower the chances of scratches on wooden floors and discoloration of carpet floors.
