Communication Cycle Communication cycle is one of the theories of communication which deals with how two people interact in a given situation. For communication to be effective, it must consist of a “two-way” process, where each person tries to make sense of what the other is saying and give back an adequate feedback. Effective communication involves the process of examining the understanding of the exchanged words, while listening thoughtfully or actively. Communication is a fundamental part of all our lives. The series of techniques we can use to communicate with each other is growing all the time. Taking a Care setting as our example, care settings are very difficult, complex and sensitive place to work in, because this is a place where vulnerable people of all kinds are taken care of. Therefore, for it to run smoothly, an efficient communication cycle must be in place.
