Debra Douglass 3rd March 2015 Unit K/602/3172 M1 1.1 Legislative framework for health,safety and risk management in the work place. The legislative framework for health and safety at work is a law which has been passed by a legislative body such as parliament. The legistavie framework is used by all proffesinals when working with or along side children and young adults. The health and safety at work act 1974 is in place to ensure provisions are in place for sercuring the health,safety and welfare of a person at work and for protecting others against risks to health or safety in connection with activies of a person at work. The duties of the employer are to ensure so far as reasonably and practible the health , safety and welfare at work and to make provisions and maintance of equipment and substances within the work setting. The employer will make provisions of such information,instruction,training and supervisions as necessary to ensure the health and safety at work act. The employer will have a written health and safety at work policy and procdure in line with regulated bodies and conduct assessments in such a way to ensure the staff and clients are not exposed to risks to their health and safety. Health and safety responsibilities of employer or to monitor work place practices such as care activities,care procdures and care materials and equipment to minimise any risk of danger and possible injury or harm to staff and clients. Employer will ensure staff are aware of responsibilities with regard to health and safety policy to ensure safe working methods and equipment is in place to avoid injury or
