Tara Nastaran Razavi Thesis statement Title: Short Title: Healing Gardens: History of Outdoor Spaces in Medical Settings in Europe and America (middle ages to 21th century) Long Title: The history of outdoor spaces in medical settings within the perspective of time and change by looking at architectural setting of medical practice from Middle Ages to 20th century, to understand how the value of nature in medicinal environments came about as an idea that access to nature can assist healing.
