A lot of them speak negatively about Kim, I think | |that part of this is because she is from another culture and they do not like that change. It also seems that specifically David was being | |self-centered on this particular day. He placed blame on Kim even though it could easily have been his own fault for not being clear with his | |instructions. He also clearly did not realize, or care that Kim had been working hard all day to finish many projects and had forgone her own | |breaks to help everyone else. Another reason why I think they resemble Theory X is because everyone brings their requests to Kim, they have little| |desire to try to do things on their own and take everything to someone else to be done.
I will say in one way it hurt, but I also understood. If I wanted him as a friend for life, then I need to take care of myself without him around. In order to elicit the desired change he went to the engineers with true concern for their personal welfare. After listening to their challenges, he created a clear sense of purpose that both the leader and follower wanted. The goal was to reduce the administrative paperwork that was consuming the engineers time, the engineers saw this as a time waster, as did John Terrill. As their leader, he took personal responsibility to influence executive management of the inefficiencies of all the extra paperwork. Terrill demonstrated “an important aspect of leadership…influencing others to come together around a common vision” (Daft, 2008, p. 6).
I found out shortly that when things go array the blame falls on the one with the power first. Though I had no real power, through my over confidence I had assumed the role of the leader and soon the other members of Team C, started questioning my decisions and soon all of our profits started to dwindle. No serious bonds were broken or stretched between our group and through this failure we actually learned more about this game from the actual experience. For instance we learned that the game accounted for reality by having delays in the communication between the four stations. We noticed this when I first changed the number of orders of production which ultimately didn’t arrive until “2 weeks later,” causing the confusion and the beginning of the end of our first attempt.
Most employees assume that humor and fun on the job will be viewed negatively; so they need clear evidence that this is not the case. If they fail to see evidence of a lighter attitude in top management, they will be very cautious about using their sense of humor on the job--no matter how many fun activities are set up by the company. They will assume that their chances of getting ahead are better if they’re always serious. I watch as those close and dear to me refuse to see what is happening in the world, or to take responsibility for their own mind-patterns, despite my gentle promptings and Oversoul communication. I understand they are a reflection of me at some level, but the work I am doing is moving me away from this. Sadly, many people are not changing to reflect my new Self meaning they will move out of my life at some point. It is hard, when you can see the amazing potential within humanity, to watch it slide deeper into a self-made prison.
Most people really do not know the whole Constitution and it’s entirely but if they did there would be many things they would think is constitional and do not need to be changed. Madison believed to cure the problem remove the cause or control it. We have been using this all this time so obviously it is under control. Now if we decide to make a new one it is not going to make many people happy. It’s possible it will cause many problems and possibly another recession.

Every day we encounter people through work, school or socializing. It is inevitable we see people and think they are more skilled, attractive, smarter, and better off than us. The negative effect of this can harm you and the other party if they become aware of your feelings. The first trick to controlling this is to become aware, pause, acknowledge your thought and refocus.
