Taylor is a man with seemingly unlimited power to control the very minds of people. In addition to being a story of good v. evil, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington is a David and Goliath story. In addition to being a good man, Jeff Smith is also a man with very little money and power. Jeff doesn't have the resources to fight Taylor. But he knows that he is right, and that's all he needs to keep on fighting.

He endure life changing events that weren’t always for the better. When John and Owen went to the airport for John's return flight,a day Owen believed that he was destined to die, they see a group of nuns escorting a column of Vietnamese war orphans through the halls.

The Great Gatsby A hero can be defined as a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities. In the novel The Great Gatsby the hero Nick Carraway may not fit the definition of a hero as he does not save a life or show extreme bravery though he is a decent, honest and honorable man who most closely resembles an average human being out of all of the other characters in the novel. This therefore qualifies him as the hero in the novel he is also adversely affected or change by most of the events of the plot. Unlike Nick both the Buchanans and Gatsby are a faced with the fault of death and even that does not change them, they try to hide it or blame others to protect themselves. All of the characters in The Great Gatsby start out with there own dreams and goals, well Gatsby and the Buchanan’s let nothing stand in the way of their dreams and goals, Nick adapts his dreams and goals as the plot unfolds which ensures he is always happy with his choices.
He did an exceptional job as a union leader and his courage and strength gave a majority of the people hope and admiration. Not only was President Reagan a strong leader but he always had a smile on his face and a good natured sense of humor. After his attempted assassination he showed tremendous courage and even joked to his wife Nancy “Honey, I forgot to duck,” and was immediately back at work. Even at the hardest times in life he was able to keep positive persona. Regan governed with focused self-confidence and he never considered his position to place him above those he led.
He is successful because he is the only one who can confront reality and see through the rose colored glasses. Everyone else had a false sense of reality and could not see or admit the truth. Biff, on the other hand, is comfortable with the fact that he is just an average man, something Willy, was never able to accept. Another reason Biff is successful is because he chases his dreams and what he enjoys doing in life. Biff knew that the life of a salesman was not his own dream but his father’s dream for him.

He is a small but strong man that has sharp eyes, a dark of a face and looks to be in his 30’s. He has a confident personality; he is a smart, responsible and an ambitious person. During this novel we see how George is a caregiver, nourishes and sacrifices a lot for Lennie. Even though George is looking for an equal relationship and a steady job he can keep, he still doesn’t give up on Lennie. He has a lot of patience for him, because he knows that nobody else would want to take care of him, they’ll put Lennie in a cage and lock him up, like a wild animal and George he will feel the guilt if he lets that happen.
