“Haring Gangis ug Haring Leon, Piniliay sa mga Isda: A Comparative Study” These stories often happen in real life .The first one is about the sea creatures which is the story of “Piniliay sa mga Isda” while the other one is “Haring Gangis ug Haring Leon” that talks about the faunas living both land and air. However, each one has its own ideas and differences. After reading, I’ve found out that these stories have variations and somehow, connections. I would say connections because of its characters which is animals even though they all belong in different dwellings of all God's creatures. In “Haring Gangis” are the animals that fly; “Haring Leon” are the ones that stay on land while in the “Piniliay sa mga Isda” are the sea creatures. The differences that I’ve found out are its thoughts and lessons. In “Haring Leon ug Haring Gangis”, both of the kings have their own kingdom to rule. However, one of them (Haring Leon) wants to own both kingdom. He always feels that he is the superior among all creatures. He believes that he can defeat all of them and that they will follow his commands because of his loud and solid voice. Also, he believes that he can overthrow someone easily because of his brave characteristics. He even looked down those animals that are slighter than him. Yet, he was mistaken in his own confidence. The lesson here talks about equality and being humble to each other. One should not boast on what he/she has in this world already. There should be contentment and acceptance of one’s possession. Lastly, once you are humble, more blessings will come back unto you. On the other hand, “Piniliay sa mga Isda” doesn’t have their leader yet, unlike the other story.
