There are multiple similarities that you can locate within those four year, but there are also a lot of differences as well. Most people would agree that the most similarities and differences have come during their sophomore year of high school and their junior year of high school. Many students have been saying that the two hardest years of their high school careers have been their sophomore and their junior year. The main difference in my sophomore year to my junior year is the degree of difficulty for the classes I took. People often say their junior year has the hardest work and that their sophomore year pales in comparison. The degree of difficulty is much higher due to the fact that most colleges look at your junior year for the best reference point. Even though my sophomore year was hard at that moment, I felt like my junior year has been much harder up to this point. The reason for this was that I was not used to the concept of getting homework every day. Since I am now a junior in high school and I have already experience the concept of getting homework every day, I have learned to cope with the difficulties it presents. A similarity that my sophomore year and my junior year share is the fact that I am a student athlete. In these past two years I was a member of the varsity football at St. Mary’s. Being a part of the football program here at St. Mary’s I am expected to live up to a great tradition of winning, so I place an immense pressure on to my shoulders as I gradually become a part of the great history at Saint Mary’s. As athletes in high school I have to undertake serious changes to everyday life and that is a factor that I accepted by staying up late every night to complete all of my homework
