This motif also appears on the next person who influences Siddhartha. Siddhartha’s inner voice leads him to Samsara and to Kamala after he leaves the Buddha. Kamala represents a deviation from the path of enlightenment, yet a significant step in Siddhartha’s journey. This is why Kamala does not wear the smile of enlightenment, but uses flirtatious smiles and laughs to teach Siddhartha. On their first meeting, “Kamala smiled and played with her fan… and thereupon Kamala laughed aloud” (Hesse 44).
When she receives the ring from Gerald, she is immediately 'excited', and Priestley shows this in her speech with the use of dashes as she asks 'Mummy - isn't it a beauty?'. She shows appreciation of the 'perfect' ring to Gerald which shows she really is 'pleased with life' but almost possessed by Gerald.Although the Mr and Mrs Birling have been portrayed as arrogant, Sheila is contrasted to show compassion towards the conditions of the workers immediately when she hears about her father's treatment of Eva Smith - when she says 'these girls aren't cheap labour - they're people'. This shows how at the start of the play she is the only character so far that is capable of change, after Mr Birling denies all responsibility of the death of Eva Smith. Sheila is devastated when she realises her part in Eva Smith's death, she feels full of guilt for

The True State of Happiness Janie is a dreamer, her grandmother Nancy says, she lives her life trying to reach the horizon-- Janie’s very dear dreams. The society’s principles of how a woman should act, and its strict limits, prevent Janie from reaching the horizon; that one day seemed to be so close. The first two unfortunate marriages separate Janie from her dreams by limiting her strictly and blending her into the melting pot of society. Everyone in the pot is forced to follow the mass of others, thus living their lives without finding their individuality and discovering their life purpose and path. Janie’s first two husbands, Logan and Jody, never allow Janie to reach the desirable horizon.

The three facts to compare are team spirit of the dancers, kids’ life outside school, and test scores. Both of the schools in comparison had good team spirit but PS 115 was more motivated to win the competition by Ms. Yomaira Reynoso and Rodney Lopez. In the selection of who would represent the school, PS 115 chose who best fits who because ballroom dance is about two people specifically a gentleman and a lady. PS 150, on the other hand, chose probably those who know how to dance without considering the pairing if they actually suit each other. Also, Allison Shenaik was not interested in the pairing system because she loved all the kids and didn’t want to choose favorites.
That was the first time that Ana saw Kiki talk back to her mother. Kiki also was able to find a connection with dancing. There she immediately fell in love with Taxi’s father, Gum. The difference between Ava and Kiki’s relationships was that Kiki was not abused by her partner. Kiki didn’t want to be like Ava though.
She has changed a lot since the beginning of the play. Keeping a smile on my face throughout this scene is quite important. It shows to the audience that Katherine, now tamed is really happy. She can truly enjoy life and it’s brilliance to the fullest now that she has someone who really has shown her love and care and she has learned to show those feelings back. When Petruchio says the line “What duty they do owe their lords and husbands” I would want the other female characters to gasp in shock at what Petruchio said but as Katherine I would not gasp and rather ponder for a moment putting my hand up to my face to clearly show that the character is honestly thinking about this.
She feels absolutely no sense of belonging, and struggles to find friends. Throughout the movie however, she makes friends with the ‘popular girls.’ Once Cady’s social status begins rising, so does her confidence. Soon, Cady feels a sense of belonging, and feels like she owns the school. This unusual situation relates back to how our belonging strengthens our identity. As soon as Cady started belonging, she felt better about herself, and her whole attitude changed.
We challenge ourselves to be magnificent, And are definitely not afraid to do what’s different. We can dance all night, And just let go. We do what’s right, But we do tend to slip and fall. And when we do, we get right back up And learn from it all. And when people look at us, We say, “Go ahead, say what you want.” Because we are the lucky ones.
