Lucas Hao Before we discuss about the potential planets that would be suitable for colonizing life, first we need to know what are the basic conditions that human needs to maintain living. From this perspective, these basic conditions including appropriate temperature, a certain amount of air to provide air pressure and oxygen, water, foods which can provide energy and nutrition, gravity and so on. The normal temperature of human body is 37 Celsius, which means the amount of temperature far beyond or far behind this value may be not appropriate for humans to maintain their lives. For instance, the natural lowest temperature on earth is negative 88.3 Celsius and the highest one is positive 71 Celsius. Under these extreme weather conditions, it is not possible for humans to live. The feasible living temperature for humans actually waves around the freezing point of water, and these energy are all provide directly or indirectly by the solar radiant energy. Another factor that we need to consider is a certain amount of air to provide air pressure and oxygen for humans. The air pressure for people to survive is around 1 standard atmosphere pressure. People will feel uncomfortable if the air pressure is too low. The reason of people has altitude stress when the climbing the mountain is because the air pressure is too low. It may also has the risk that the organ and tissue within the human body will rupture if the pressure down to a certain value. Just like the fish from the deep sea. They will immediately die after they reach the water surface, and the reason is the same as above. For human to say, the oxygen in the air is also indispensable. Every day, every second people need to inhale oxygen, and this is because human body needs energy to maintain daily activity, and this energy come from food we eat every day. The carbohydrate,
