Materials and Methods Materials: * Strainer * Bowl * Wooden spoon * Syringe * ½ teaspoon of salt * ½ teaspoon of vinegar * Ball pen * Empty ink cartridge * Mangostene peelings Methods: * Collect mangostene peelings. Place them into a strainer. Hold the strainer over a bowl or container. Smash the mangostene peelings using a wooden spoon or similar utensil. Continue to pummel the peelings until the juices have been strained out. Add ½ teaspoon of vinegar and ½ teaspoon of salt into the liquid. Extract small amounts of ink from the bowl using a syringe. Release the ink into an empty ball cartridge. Then replace the cartridge in the ball pen. b. Statement of the problem The purpose of this study is to produce ink from mangostene peeling. The objectives of this study are: 1. To produce an ink with better quality than other commercial inks. 2. To produce an affordable product. 3. To produce an ink that really lasts for a long time. 4. To produce an ink that will help the student’s writing quality improve. c. Scope & delimitations This study has the following scopes and delimitations. This study only used salt, vinegar & mangostene peelings. In our observations, the mangostene peeling has a component that makes the ink quality really good. And the vinegar and salt clarify and deepen the color of natural dye and ink products, as well as preserve the juice from spoilage.
