Grand Theft Auto Vs. Saints Row The Grand Theft Auto series and the Saints Row series are games of similar nature that are also different in many ways. While both games are open world and allow the player free reign over their interactions, both series have diverged greatly within their last two releases. Grand Theft Auto and Saints Row are both considerably popular free roam, open world, role playing games but their differences are important to note when considering which one you would like to purchase. Grand Theft Auto is a long running series of video games that is publishes by Rockstar Games and developed by other companies as well. There are a total of sixteen games in the series, plus two expansion packs for the original game and two expansion pack for GTA IV along with multiplayer title. The games have been released, for PC, PSX, PS2, Xbox 360, GBC, GBA, PSP, DS, iPhone, and Android. The storyline of the Grand Theft Auto series changes with each game, although it does stick to a common ground with references to characters of previous titles. In many cases the characters from each storyline simply cross paths, while at other times the connection is made through one characters viewpoint of the same situation that you first experienced while playing a separate character’s storyline. The games allow the player to take on the role of a criminal who rises through the ranks of crime throughout the game. Missions are set for completion so you can progress through the games storyline. There are a lot of other outside missions available that are there to give the player quick cash. In comparison, Saints Row is a video game series by Volition, Inc. that tells the story of a gang called Third Row Saints, which comes from the name of the district of the games home territory.
