Taylor Made scored its initial success with its first product, metal drivers, which debuted in 1979 and subsequently dominated the golf market.
By April they had moved on to another property on Broadway in Yonkers which gave them room for six holes. After a full summer of golfing Reid invited four of his closest friends to dinner at his home in November of 1888 with the purpose of discussing their future plans for golf. During his previous 14 years with Tri-American, Dick Spencer had become a very successful salesman. Most of his success had been achieved based on his looks, charisma, and golfing ability. During which one such golfing game he met and befriended the President of the Tri-American which would later give him the opportunity to change career paths within the company. After three years of achieving top sales, Dick realized that his personal life had suffered and he began to feel as though a role in production might be a better career path for him. Conversations with the President developed into the opportunity for him to become transferred to become the Special Assistant to the Senior Vice President of Production with a focus on Troubleshooting.

The reason he is called the “Zen Master” is because Phil Jackson brings the aspects of Eastern philosophy and the Native American spiritual practices to coach his teams (Wikipedia.org). Phil Jackson had an enormous role in the 90s Bulls becoming a dynasty. Phil Jackson has won 11 NBA Championships, more than any other coach in NBA History (Wikipedia.org). Phil Jackson also has the highest win percentage of all-time at a whopping 0.704 (NBA.com).
Knight was given the nickname, “The General” by Dick Vitale because the he was highly educated in military history. Indiana reached the Final Four in 1973, losing to UCLA. In 1976, the Hoosiers were undefeated at 32-0 and won championship, beating Michigan 86-68 in the title game. Knight’s Hoosiers also won championships in 1981. When Indiana won the 1979 NIT championships, Knight led the U.S. national team to a gold metal in the Olympic Games as coach of the Michael Jordan team.
Dean consistently finishes in the top 10 of the WCT year-end tour standings. Dean finished second at the WCT Pipe Masters event in December 2007, and more recently secured a third place finish at the same event in December 2009. He is noted as one of the best performing Australians on the North Shore of Oahu, and is consistently featured throughout the pages of the major surf magazines and the prestigious Surfline.com website. He won the WCT event at his home break at Snapper Rock, Australia in 2003. Ozzie Wright — Ozzie is one of the world’s most unique and talented free surfers.
John, coincidentally, graduated from West Point on D-Day, June 6, 1944. He married Barbara Jean Thompson on June 10, 1947. John and Barbara had four children: Dwight David II, Barbara Ann, Susan Elaine and Mary Jean. Eisenhower was a golf enthusiast later in life, and joined the Augusta National Golf Club in 1948. He played golf frequently during and after his presidency and was unreserved in expressing his passion for the game.
