The Easton Pyramid of Greatness differs from Ron Swanson’s pyramid of greatness. In The Easton Pyramid of Greatness the main components I chose for achieving personal greatness are ranked as follows. The number four component is Greatness. It is defined as something that is remarkable or outstanding in magnitude, degree, extent, or significant and important. Greatness is something that most people work hard and strive for. People are always looking to achieve greatness in life or in love and all other things we do in our lives. People want to achieve greatness in the things they do for many different reasons whether it’s for personal or monetary gain or whether it’s for their own personal satisfaction, we all want to be great My number two component for achieving personal greatness is Honor. I feel that honor is something that cannot be taught and that people who have it is because it is something you are born with. I really like Ron Swanson’s pyramid with honor at the very top saying “If you need it defined, you don’t have it.” The number one component needed to achieve personal greatness and at the top of The Easton Pyramid of Greatness is Courage. Courage, I feel is like honor, it is something that some people are born with and it also cannot be taught. It is what drives us all too even want to succeed. With commitment as the foundation and courage as the driving force then success and achieving personal greatness is inevitability. “You will never do anything in this world without Courage. It is the greatest quality of the mind next to Honor.” -
