To activate the machine, you must pull the counter weight down, like a pulley, until the normal weight is as far up as it can go. Then you let go. The counter weight slows down the normal weight, so the machine stays on longer. The weights move a big wheel, which spins the crank from a hand crank generator that turns on three small light bulbs. Finding energy from gravity could provide less expensive energy for consumers. This is an important energy source because it is infinite and eco-friendly. Gravity to Energy: Is it Possible? In my experiment, I will harness gravity to make a form of energy. I will do this using kinetic energy; an object in motion that produces energy like a falling ball; or potential energy; the form of energy that gravity has.
