The sweet potato industry, although a high value industry, is becoming increasingly competitive. This underlines the importance of efficiency in minimising the loss of valuable soil. Large amounts of rainfall can result in the loss of soil on cultivated farmland. The loss of soil does not just affect the farmers it also affects the community The aim of the project was to increase awareness of soil health and to develop the best soil management practices for the Cudgen plateau. Task 1: Geography and the Development/Diffusion of Human Societies Part A Mesopotamia was the region of land between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. The Tigris and Euphrates rivers were significant geographic features that shaped the development of Mesopotamia. Both rivers had a significant impact on the region’s agriculture. For example, the land between the two rivers was fertile and good for growing crops. Regularly, melting snow and rain from the nearby mountain ranges would swell both rivers.

The great need for food brings forth the importance of the agriculture industry. Science has made many products that allow for food production to be done in a more efficient, cheaper, and faster manner. In the beef industry many types of growth stimulators have been created to increase weight per day of age, shorten finishing time and maximize profit for the producer. More recently, developed products with the common name, beta-agonist, have been developed. Beta-agonists have distinct advantages and disadvantages in terms of animal welfare, meat quality, and profitability when used in production.
The irrigation systems were also repaired.
