Google as a Global Giant Abstract In this research paper I analyze Google Inc., an international public company. I discuss company’s history, the five major kinds of drivers of globalization, as well as analyze the basic needs potential for the markets and the applicable financial, economic, political, legal, sociocultural, and competitive forces. The purpose of this research paper is to demonstrate that Google, Inc. is the worldwide leader in web-based products and services. As of November 2009, Google is the most used search engine in the United States, sharing 65.6% of the market (Lipsman, 2009). Today, Google offers hundreds of products and services. Some of the products and services besides the search engine include: Google Maps, Google Translate, Google Mail (Gmail), YouTube, Android Mobility, Google Chrome, Google TV, and Picasa Web Albums. Although there are many companies offering same web-based services, Google shows its dominance in today’s global market. Google as a Global Giant Introduction Google Inc. (Google) is an American international corporation specializing in internet-based services and products. These products include internet search engines, software, and online advertising technologies. When most people hear the word Google they automatically think of the search engine. Appropriately so, Google started as a search engine on the internet; and today Google Search is the company’s most popular service.
