Subject: My previous boss Good managers are vital for a successful organization. They are responsible and also capable of motivating and inspiring their staff, attracting candidates of highest caliber, reducing staff turnover, boosting employee creativity and increasing profits. This is one of the points made by the book “Good Boss Bad Boss.” Some employees would characterize their boss as being a responsible, polite and caring person. Others would criticize their boss as rude, irresponsible and selfish, with an incompatible personality. I have worked for several jobs in different places with different professions, and I was employed by a number of managers. This well written book presents us with various other qualities good manager’s posses and different traits bad manager’s exhibit. A good boss gives you a chance to succeed into the company. A good boss makes sure you have the correct hours on your paycheck. A bad boss will hassle you for every little thing that you do. A bad boss will hire you just because he/she has the authority to do so. A bad boss will not give you a chance to succeed into the company and take all the credit for them. Good managers know the best management sometime is no management at all. They know when to stop meddling with things un-necessarily. They give their people freedom to do their work and genuinely care about helping their employees succeed; they don't just act different to get something out of their workers and go back to business as usual after getting what they want. A good manager is knowledgeable and is keen to learn. Being obsessed about self-improvement is the road to becoming a better manager. Learning from mistakes and understanding not only the team dynamic but what is happening within the company can help the manger to motivate and encourage a team.
