Going Green in the Hospitality Industry Michael Mccollum Institution Going Green in the Hospitality Industry Hotel industries are one of the hugest industries in the world, if, and only if not the biggest issues concerning leisure. They are certain to turn green ultimately as they munch through an immense share of energy and, thus, they are more prone to pollution than most of other industries. As a simple consideration, one can consider the quantity of electrical power that a hotel requires and then reproduce it with the figure of all hotel industries available in the universe. Having converted to green, just one should go specifically to the bottom of the line. It is decent for business and personal advantages, as it directly goes to higher long lasting values of once properties. Converting to green gives an industry an upper hand by persisting in the front door whose only work is to open quite wide to bring back customers and guests again and again (Heliet, 2009). When the industry converts to green, it goes directly to the welfare of workers and staffs, and gives them a long-term decent working conditions, since management adequately cares for staffs’ well-being that is health and safety. Once the energy saving process and procedures have been defined and set for working, which may include fluorescent bulbs, management systems, ceiling fans, lights out cards, linen cards, motion sensors for guest and public rest rooms, exercise rooms, meeting rooms etc., the monthly energy bill becomes much reduced.
