Leadership Evangelistic Evaluation 1. Are you leading with “Confidence in God’s Call”? In interviewing my worship pastor/leader, he notes that the barometer for him, as with many other leaders and as laypersons, is peace in spirit. In his position as worship pastor, music is a required gift. He knows that God’s call for him, before he was even born, was to lead in worship. Many times we take what God’s call for our lives is and use it for what we think is more valuable to us. He feels whether he does or not will be revealed in the future when his time has ended. Integrity, he notes, is a very important character to obtain. It is a goal not only in ministry but, even more importantly, at home and in every aspect of life. He remembered a pastor who once said this of himself only to compromise that very thing months later. He believes integrity is who you are when no one else is around. He puts a lot of energy into self discipline in order to be a leader of balance. Leading by this criteria needs both compassion and yet, when required, gentle correction. A healthy balance of laughter as well as the seriousness of our call is also a felt need. And also in choosing what is truly important and what can have less emphasis placed upon it. In short, the worship pastor desires to pursue the role of a leader that others can grow
