To many of us, high school could be the best times of our lives and to others it can be the worst. Our high school years is when we are maturing, they can be troublesome, stressful and maybe even something more blissful. Like in life, I also want to accomplish goals in high school. My major goal for high school is to receive a 3.5 or higher GPA each year graduate of course, I would like to be a good student, and lastly I’d like to have good friends. Throughout my years of high school I will change my mind a million times, make a billion mistakes, and learn a gazillion things but there will always be goals I want to accomplish.
So far, I always get A’s for Language, Historical and Religious subjects. That’s means I have to do extra practices on Science and Mathematics subjects. So, I am determined to study as hard as I could so that I can achieve my goals and fulfill my dreams which is to graduate from high school with a 3.5 grade point and gaining straight A plus next year. I will not only satisfied on my own but also a bonus to my family. The successful achievement will makes my family especially my beloved parents proud of me and felt on top of the world.
The difficulty pushed me to work harder and harder. I can assert that my perseverance and the hard work that I devote in my studies will help me in maintaining good grades. I understand that personality and character are important factors for maintaining my position in the Honors class. Every single experience I had in life helped me define who I am. Every lesson learned, every obstacle surpassed, every success savored and every dream reached, added up to my own personal magnification.
Just think about all that hard work you have done throughout the last three years; taking test, completing projects, and preparing yourself for college. Many colleges require a list of all the classes you took your senior year, even the levels of those courses. By looking at this list they will determine what kind of students you are and if you decided to slack off. Senior year is just another year to strengthen your knowledge and learning skills, to prepare for all the challenges ahead. A successful senior year can lead you to a better path to a successful future.

One of the most exciting but yet scariest events would be graduation. For a lot of people, graduating from high school is a goal. It takes a lot of time and effort to achieve that goal.
Ever since my senior year of high school, I’ve been impatiently waiting to attend college. I’ve always sought after more responsibilityand independence in my life, and college seemed like theperfect place to achieve justthat. Through an academic scholarship, I was able to attend Western New England University part time. Lord knows I couldn’t afford college without a scholarship. The first day was full of new experiences, old friends and interesting classes.
Students have been attending high school for many years and studies show that more than 80% of all working Americans have a high school education. In recent years people have started to question if high school should be something optional so that people are focused on more specified skills. Students should be required to attend high school because they learn many essential life skills, most jobs require a high school diploma, and it provides the opportunity to improve social skills. First of all, there are skills learned in high school that are essential to living a normal life such as discipline, the ability to set attainable goals, and organizational skills. Students are taught discipline by enforcing dress code, having closed campuses, and penalizing students with detention.
The expectations I have for myself have also been increased. I can no longer be just fine I must be above the line of being fine; I must be exemplary. I must make sure that I truly am dedicated to this career path by the end of this school year since we would be taking our college entrance exams by next school year. I must also do better in my studies as well as my extra-curricular activities so that I may get into the school I want. There is also that fear of failure that creeps into my mind every time I think about the near future.
Setting goals also helps me to effectively and efficiently allocate resources and manage time constraints. In working towards achieving goals, it helps to define my priorities. As I have a plan of what I wish to achieve, it is expected that I will switch off the television, turn off Facebook and get stuck in to accomplishing that task. Goals also help to break down large, seemingly impossible tasks into smaller tasks to make them achievable. Three to four years of study to complete a university degree seems like an extremely daunting task, but by breaking down the degree into 13 week units, and aiming to complete each week and unit successfully allows me to chip away at that degree and make it more attainable.
