The globalisation phenomena have eased organisations to considerably expand its business operations to different regions and countries across the world. Recently the countries in turn have focused on providing organisations with a much better environment to conduct their business. The examples would be removal of trade barriers and the acceptance of FDI, a better infrastructure, implementation of latest technology solutions etc. However the tolerance and acceptance of a diverse culture in workforce and conducting business in a country with diver culture has been an important aspect that organisations have considered while expanding its business across the continents. As the business environment today is becoming more and more global the organisations with a diverse cultural workgroup is also growing rapidly. Hence implementing the cultural diversity in organisations operational initiative adds value to its success. Organisations can realise tremendous benefits by implementing cultural diversity at the workplace. When you have individuals forming a diverse workgroup it helps organisations to improve the overall productivity and profitability. This will also help the organisation to achieve a better pool of talent which in turn helps the organisation a great advantage. Having individuals from different cultural background and experience and having them working in groups can produce innovative and creative ideas. Individuals with varying life understanding and viewpoint can bring solutions to problems much quickly compared to individuals from a similar cultural background. Another important benefit would be the flexibility of educating a low wage workforce in order to support an organisations operation in a region where the resources are expensive.
