Global Warming: A threat to future generations Over the past century the world has seen great changes in its surface temperature. The term global warming has been very popular with scientist, world leaders, and party advocates. Global warming in definition is the increase in the earth's average atmospheric temperature that causes corresponding changes in climate and that may result from the greenhouse effect. The fact is that global warming is a current threat to our world. Studies indicate that the average global surface temperature has increased by approximately 0.5-1.0°F (0.3-0.6°C) over the last century. This is the largest increase in surface temperature in the last 1,000 years and scientists are predicting an even greater increase over this century. The effects of global warming potentially can harm people, animals, and agriculture. There many causes of the ongoing problem of global warming. The fact that there are true causes to something makes it nothing but a truth. Global Warming is clearly not a myth, as claimed by some people. Global warming is caused by natural and human inflicted causes. The natural causes of global warming include such things like solar activity, volcanic emissions and the greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect being the most known is defined as the rise in temperature that the Earth experiences because certain gases in the atmosphere (water vapor, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, and methane, for example) trap energy from the sun cause of the increase in the earths climate. Though the greenhouse is important, if it were to be altered and caused a warm up, it could cause humans, plants, and animal’s problems. Volcanic emission is another natural cause of global warming. Volcanic emission deals with gases that cause damage to the ozone layer in the atmosphere. Global warming is also caused by solar activity. Solar activity
