Global leader Steven Jobs International Management The choice of person who should be subject of this essay had not been easy. The first name which came into author's mind was Hannibal Barkas, a legendary Carthaginian leader, who, only thanks to indecision of his compatriots, did not finally defeat Romans. His charisma, creativity and bravery would make him a very interesting hero of the essay. Since the course this essay is written for is International Management and it is a part of business studies, it seemed to be more appropriate to choose person living nowadays and being a well-know figure in business. Since the author is fan of Macintosh computers, the choice could be only one – Steven Jobs. Author's fascination with Apple's co-founder has several reasons. Everybody who used Apple's products must confirm company's original design and visionary ideas. In most cases, these products and ideas influenced whole branches of electronics, computer and entertainment industries. They showed them the direction they should go. Jobs and his way of managing the company are here most important – the (almost) perfect combination of highly technically skilled visionary with managerial genius. In the next parts of this essay life's story of Jobs will presented. Finally, author will try present couple of arguments supporting thesis presented in this paragraph. Steve Jobs was born in 1955 in San Francisco. After his birth he was given to adoption and finally adopted by Clara and Paul Jobs who lived in the Bay Area which is now known as Silicon Valley. His true parents were Joanne Schieble and Abdulfattah Jandali – student from Syria who would later become political science professor. Jobs met his true parents when he was over thirty. Already being in his early years Jobs showed interests in electronics. He shared his hobby with his friend and neighbour
