She plans to purchase some this weekend to assist her with more accurate graphs. She really hates that she had to leave class early, she wanted to see everyone’s presentation. La Quandria enjoys her teammates as group member. She believes the team need to get our momentum back up. She believes everyone probably needs a break in between classes because there is no time to regroup in between class.
When students see others doing this it quickly reminds those who may have forgot that they too need to place their homework in the basket. Mr. Collet is then able to quickly see who has turned in homework and who has not. He also has provided the opportunity to each parent to purchase a daily planner; the planner allows the student to write down daily homework assignments for each class period and parents may follow up by looking at the planner nightly to ensure that the work is getting completed. Mr. Collet also allows for the students to participate in deciding what homework assignments are going to be assigned. Students get to give the opinion on what is best for them to learn from by helping Mr. Collet collectively agree upon what material they will have homework on.
Classroom Management Task 1 Homework Policy A1) Positive Social Interaction Mr. Collet’s homework policy promoted positive social interactions with the student must talk with the teacher first to get late assignments approved to turn in. This gives the teacher and student one on one time to discuss why the homework is being turned in late and ways to prevent it from happening again. This part of the police would promote positive social interaction in a 4th grade classroom because this allows the teacher to have a dialogue with the students when they have fail to meet the requirements. Then one on one meeting is a opportunity to use critical thinking to solve the problem to prevent from being late on turning in homework in the future. The one on one meetings allows the teacher to get to know about the interests, hope, and concerns of the student, and facilitate a relationship in which students feel they are emotionally and physically safe and, therefore free to engage in constructive discourser with their teacher (Brewster, 2000).
Soon enough her father died and kids started picking on her about her complexion. Char the most popular girl in the grade, makes a deal with Maleeka that if she does her homework for her Char will always stick up for her and allow Maleeka to borrow clothes. Maleeka wants to be so liked by people in school she agrees and starts hanging out with Char. A new teacher than arrives at the school. Miss Saunders also gets made fun of because of the big blotch she has on her face which is her birth mark.
If everything fails, my only option left is make her sit in front of my desk. The other option I have available is to change my teaching methods to suit this particular student. I know that she is very outgoing and talkative; I can use this to my advantage by having more class discussions and by assigning more presentations for homework. In doing so, Amy will be more comfortable doing her homework and feel more involved in the class environment. This also solves her problem of forgetting everything I covered during the previous lessons.
Anytime she finishes her work she will work on something that has not been completed for another class. She can not just finish her assignments and sit down she must be doing other work or doing something to keep her busy. She is different from most teenagers because in school when they have not completed a assignment they will just leave it incomplete. She would ask to take it home and complete it so that way she could have it done. She can't wait to go to her gym class everyday because she gets to move around and has things to do the whole time.
This story was about two ordinary children like Cleary and their adventures, Beverly Cleary found happiness and a sense of release reading the book. After this story she read day and night and even went on to reading The Swiss Twins. This booked opened the door for her to read more books and soon enough she was reading all the books for children in the library by the age of 8 years old. A turning point in Beverly Cleary live is when she came across a book named The Dutch Twins. It was the first book she had came across that interest her and that dealt with other children that were her age.
This is particularly important for kids who are home alone for a few hours every day after school, as school sponsored activities will help children to stay occupied and will keep their minds actively engaged. If your kids are old enough to work for a few hours after school each day, encourage them to get a job. This will not only keep them busy and prevent them from feeling bored, it will also take up a pretty healthy amount of time which they might otherwise spend mindlessly hanging out with their friends or getting involved in something that you would prefer they
“I Know Why the Caged Bird Cannot Read” Critic and editor, Francine Prose in her argumentative essay “I Know Why the Caged Bird Cannot Read” strives to encourage high schools to give more difficult books to students so they can learn and grow. “Given the dreariness with which literature is taught in many American classrooms, it seems miraculous that any sentient teenager would view reading as a source of pleasure”(Prose 89). Prose embraces an abrasive attitude towards her topic in order to introduce her purpose, and she uses ethos and logos to convey her message. Prose's essay begins with her giving background knowledge about herself to her audience. By being a parent, as well as a teacher this develops a sense of credibility and allows her audience to believe what she has to say.
Knowledge is not always power because the more you know does not necessarily mean you understand what you have learned. In the short story “Everyday Use”, education seemed to make a rift in the relationship not only between the mother and the daughter, but also between the sisters. Dee was one to always try and outsmart her family members always seeking answers knowing no one knew. It was mama who eventually got the community together to help send Dee to school so her daughter would be happy and satisfied. The values of heritage seem to have been lost with the gain of knowledge when Dee has gone to college.
