There are several gastro intestinal illnesses that can hurt the human body that occur from products and actions that are potential and can be prevented. This essay is to briefly discuss the several different types and what can be done to prevent them. IBS is the irritable bowel syndrome; this illness occurs when a stressful event passes by (lol) or any disorder of interaction between the brain and bowels. The symptoms are bloating, discomfort, and at times, blood stool. This illness is more of chance than preventing with actions of your own. Since it is all internal and only happens when there are problems psychologically, it is one of the few bowel illnesses that are harder to prevent. Chron’s disease is often mistaken for ulcerative colitis, and begins with symptoms like rectal bleeding, abdominal cramps, persistent diarrhea and fatigue. Chron’s disease affects the small bowel and can’t be prevented directly, but the symptoms can be decreased by not consuming as much dairy, fiber and adding more water in your daily diet. Another intestinal disease to be aware of are ulcers. Ulcers are also sores that occur in the lining of the esophagus, the stomach and small intestine. Ulcers revolve around your diet. Thus said, they are caused by usage of painkillers, alcohol, tobacco, and radiation treatment. This means they can be prevented by the decrease of any of these products and treatments. Symptoms are bloating, burning pain in the upper stomach, heartburn, and nausea/and or vomiting. Located at the end of the digestive tract could be rectal/colon cancer, while treatable, it is a type of cancer and can be detrimental if left untreated. This type of cancer is more likely to occur after age 50, and most like likely come to people who have high heart attack occurrences.
