Should women be allowed into combat? The role of women is more defined in our society curently. Actually, women take part in many fields in this life that they did not allowed to get in before such as: voiting, running for presidence, join in the government staffs or army as well. Women in combat is one of the most hottest topics to day. There are some arguments that being combat is just only for male and women should be banned from military jobs.
Gender Roles In Society Though girls and boys are known to specific “boundaries,” they should not be expected to act completely different from one another. Society puts down females day by day just because they don’t “act like girls.” But what really does it mean to “act like a girl?” Every person, regardless of gender, is a representative of the human race. So, should girls of today be ignored, held to implausible standards, and forced to deny their true personalities? Girls are often ignored and treated differently than guys. In Chapter 5 of Harper Lee’s novel, To Kill a Mockingbird, Scout reflects on her summer and how she spent the majority of it without her brother Jem and their friend Dill.
This undermines their motivation and self-esteem therefore they give up on trying to do well in education and have a fatalistic attitude towards it. Another reason why girls achieve better could be because of the changes in the family. There is now an increase of the number lone-parent female headed families and these changes are affecting girls attitudes towards education. This could be because an increased number of female headed lone-parent families means that
Kat is disappointed with teenage popularity and claims “I’m not hostile, just annoyed” This shows her choice to ignore the upcoming dramas of teenage normalcy and embrace her own individuality. Her attitude shows she has deep anger issues likely caused by her Mother’s abandonment and the fact that her younger sister is now the centre of attention. “I don’t only want to be an object to be adored” With the use of this quote it shows her anger towards today’s society and the only way to belong to something is to be ‘popular’ or to just be an object for everyone else’s entertainment. Kat is outspoken in class and expresses strong feminist views from Betty Friedan, Simone de Beauvoir, and Sylvia Plath, which help support her theory and aggression towards teenage ‘normalcy.’ But by the end of the movie Kat starts to fall in love with Patrick who is very similar to her and is happy not fitting in with the expectations of teenage popularity, therefore she finds her sense belonging and learns that pushing people away isn’t always the answer. With the interaction of the people around her they had shaped her into the girl she was and the women she

Although some perspectives on the subject claim women live in bad faith and put themselves in situations to be defined as a body part, if there was no routine of male’s looking or the notion to dominate and females attention starvation or feelings to please, there would be no need for a dominant and submissive relationship. Overall it seems woman will be in a constant battle overcoming their gender because it’s society and that’s just how it works. Whether it’s right or wrong, at the end of the day, if nothing drastic is done for change, then it is what it is and people will conform to
Often sexploitation occurs in volley ball which is due to certain uniform requirements. By the lack of equity in sports of today a wide range of population groups are affected, including young women in society who are not encouraged to participate in sports possibly due to lack of confidence in body image due to the current uniforms. Professional sports women are also affected by the inequality in sport, especially in volleyball as they are unable to make a proper living due to low payments. The media has a significant influence on individuals and the culture in which they live in, it persuades the audience to obtain certain beliefs and creates opinions especially in relation to women in sport (REFERENCE) . There is serious lack of media coverage allocated to women’s sport resulting in the misinterpretation of women in physical activity.
Child beauty contests should be banned Every girl should be a beauty queen in the eyes of society ,not necessarily by entering and winning a title in a beauty contest .Some people including me oppose the idea of a young child involves with this kind of contests .Consequently, Child beauty contests should be banned because of the psychological impact on the young child and the physical ailments that occurs due to those contests .The principle of child beauty contests is to Transform a little girl into a beauty queen just to win , this kind of transformation put pressure on the young contestants .A kind of pressure that makes them question themselves if they are pretty enough to compete . Furthermore , the judges always seeks the perfect appearance child in order to win and that makes the contestants want to become the perfect model of beauty which causes a delusional idea in their mind about beauty perfection is associated with the Barbie doll . Not every contestant has the features of a Barbie doll so the contestants tries to be the perfect exemplar of a beauty queen by copying Barbie doll features , and that’s put the child in the position of questioning herself again weather she’s perfect or not . As a result , in case of her losing the contests ,she will despise herself for not being more perfect and in some cases that leads to depression for not being the beauty queen of the contest.Historically eating disorders have been caused due to emotional problems and that’s the case of beauty contestants who put so much effort to get the perfect body shape as they claim .Despite the fact that a child should always eat healthy food , most of the children in beauty contests forces themselves into a strict diet to become as I said before “ The perfect Barbie doll “ in every single detail and that causes sometimes a very serious diseases such as : Anorexia and bulimia
Since claiming their role in society as capable human beings, women have been treated unfairly in the society when they haven’t been directly excluded from various fields that are socially less “suitable” for a woman. As a young man who has grown up with significant female influence in my life and as a young musician who is in a rock band with two women, I know these stereotypical male views to be completely baseless. Even in infancy children are doused in the complex ideas of gender roles and what it means to belong to a certain gender. Before encountering the views of a patriarchal society a child will first encounter this sexism in the home, no matter how subtle. While boys are encouraged to be adventurous and granted freedom that is perhaps undeserved, their female counterparts will be given toy ovens and princess dolls to play with.
A common stereotype is that some sports are considered to be girl sports and real men do not play them. For example, women do not play football because it is a rough, physically challenging sport, and it is the epitome of a male sport. However, traditional gender stereotypes for females include the ideas that “girls don’t sweat”, “girls don’t run”, and “girls don’t get dirty”, have been challenged and questioned in conjunction with being a female and being feminine (Croteau, Hoynes, Milan 203).
