With this extraordinary growth, some serious questions have come up regarding the moral, social and political impact that gambling has on society. There are several different types of gambling which include online gambling, casino gambling, betting races, and even office type “pools”. The most common being online gambling as it offers more options and easy access. “Gambling is a hobby that American consumers demand and it is now an international network online.” (Welch & Crowley, nd) Congress is trying to prohibit online gambling because the government does not earn any tax money.
Should there be end to the “Lotto”? Throughout North America, the lottery is played in many states. “Gambling” is something you hear about in cities such as Las Vegas or Atlantic City, but it’s often participated in every area for different reasons like sports games. Dear congressman, I am writing to your regarding the gambling age in California. The issue with it is that it is 18 years old in the rare Indian casinos that don’t serve alcohol on the floor of the casino. Most casinos serve booze on the floor because it is a big money maker for them as well as the fact that the booze they have sometimes inclines people to bet more and stay longer. I agree that this mindset is not moral, but it is how they run things. My issue is that we should be able to go gamble regardless of drinking ago because at 18 we are legally adults and can go to prison and go to war.
