Gambling is a complex and intriguing human activity. When it appeared long ago, it seen as popular but it has cycled to the opposite extreme to be rebuked, condemned and repressed as a social evil. Gambling has a number of negative effects that distinguish it from other challenging activities; some of these issuse are addictions, family problems and bankruptcy. Activities that are considered gambling are sports and race bets, lotteries, games like blackjack and poker and casino games like slots and roulette. Bingo amd raffles are technically gambling, but there are no major concerns about them, so they are not included here. Eventhough gambling is legal, it should not be because of its harmful economic. Governmental and social effects. Sometimes people start gambling because their friends are into it or they have a family member who gambles. In fact, the main thing that puts teens at risk for gambling problems is influence from family members and friends.
Some people gamble simply because they're bored or lonely. Some teens who develop a gambling problem say they gamble as a way to escape or to avoid problems at home. The trouble is, gambling may start out as a casual distraction. But because it works on the risk and reward part of our brains, people can end up addicted. For example, casinos provide free alcohol to their children, they could easily get albohol problems. Besides, the harmful social effects of gambling are it forces the poor tp stay poor, compulsive gamblers bring massive problems and gambling can ruin live and familes.Gambling at casinos and in lotteries have terrible adds of winning but the poor, who desperately need money try time to time in hopes of getting lucky to pull out of their economic problems. However, they rarely win and the amount of money that they pour in forces then to stay poor. Even if you are not poor and you start gambling constantly, you will become poor very quickly.
