Some parents ignore to teach their children when they were young. It cause many children don’t care their behavior and they will get the wrong worldview. I like this book because that is a good advice for children and parents, it can help parents teach their children keep a good behavior when they were young. How to listening to the other people, that is a serious problem for children, especially for parents. Now, more and more children don’t like to listen to the other people.
In ability to ask for things from parents, resulting in snatching, clinging to things even when there are supposed to give them back 2. Withdrawn: - isolated with no friends culminating in in ability to make friends and learn about taking turns or initiate conversation 3. Antisocial and disruptive behaviour: - in ability to comprehend the task at hand results in the young person displaying inacceptable behaviour and being disruptive when others are getting on with the task at hand. 4. Lying: - the young person did not understand the instructions but thought saying yes to please the adult giving the instructions
It is clear that the child’s mental, physical and psychological needs are not being met in his home environment. The traditional parental role is one of caregiver, role-model, and nurturer. When the father is absent from the home this causes a schism within the home that, if not filled properly, can contribute to the delinquency of a child. The child usually begins exhibiting behaviors such as lying, stealing, misbehaving in school, and fighting. If not checked these behaviors accelerate into anti-social behavior directed towards other children and the community.
This in turn will affect their learning and ability to interact. This results in children eventually stop wanting to come to school as it’s not a happy safe place for them to be. It can also cause problems at home as they are unable to say what’s wrong and can act out at home. This continues with a child believing what they hear, that they are no good, they do look different, what’s the point , and feeling as if they have nowhere to
Task 3: Describe with examples the kinds of influences that affect children and young people`s development including: a) background b) health c) environment a) Some children don`t experience a lot of support at home. Parents/Carers use the TV or Computer as a “babysitter” and don`t spend a lot of quality time with their children. Those children will fall behind in their development. Children need interactions with adults and other children to learn social and language skills. On the other hand there are parents that are very protective over their children.
The parents usually do not socialize with other parents because they usually receive negative comments towards their child. Parents who anti-socialize usually channel that aggression to their spouse which results in violent arguments. Schools as well as teachers are also responsible on placing kids with ADHD in an environment where they can perform their best. This is not to segregate the children but to place them in an environment where they can learn their best. Also, if the child does not perform at his/her best, it greatly reduces the self-esteem not only of the child but the parents as well.
Disorganized relationships. Disorganized children don’t know what to expect from their parents. Children with relationships in the other categories have organized attachments. This means that they have all learned ways to get what they need, even if it is not the best way. This happens because a child learns to predict how his parent will react, whether it is positive or negative.
Although it seems like one is bribing the child, soon they will be able to cooperate on their own. The reward would be unknown, and treated as a simple an act of kindness. In conclusion, spanking is an ugly way of punishing a child and a terrible attempt to get them to listen. Parents do not realize that they are modeling an aggressive response to misbehavior and so their children learn to use an aggressive response when they are frustrated (Rambsung). Once the child gets older, the child will learn to hide or lie about problems in order to avoid being hit resulting in the connection between the child and parent to be lost forever.
Some people see corporal punishment as abusing, they wonder how anyone could do that to a child. They have better methods of dealing with their children when they misbehave. You can take away toys, game consoles, cell phone, their favorite activity, outside time, the list can go on as every child is different. Some think children that are spanked as a kid grows up to be violence adult. It has been said that all the violence in the world would slow down if we showed our children love and attention.
For example, Dyslexia (a condition where the brain has difficulty interpreting information) in children is often identified by the parents. However, parents that are unaware or poorly educated may not notice any problems, meaning their child will not receive the crucial help and support they need to achieve. When children struggle in learning to read, write and spell they will soon fall behind at school and other areas of their development will begin to suffer. For example, a child not diagnosed will frequently become frustrated with trying and give up. Then in an attempt to disguise the problem they are more likely to misbehave and disrupt the class.
