I have been directed by my academic advisor to attend the mandatory training meeting this December 2015 to apply for the August 2016-2017 training year. In the fall of 2017, I will also be studying to take my Counselor Preparation Comprehensive Examination (CPCE) prior to my graduation which is required in order to graduate from the program. If everything goes according to plan, I intend to take my NCE exam in the fall of 2019 following my 3200 hours of required supervision. I hope to be fully licensed shortly
I come to realize that I will obviously encounter barriers but along come milestones. I made it a goal to obtain my goals and being adamant about them. In writing this goal paper I can clearly see the future with steps I can fall into, and gain much more than I expected. For many graduate students they already have full times jobs and families which can make pursing a difficult task figuring out how to manage home time and school work. Its important to remember which “Grad school requires taking a long term perspective on time. Use a yearly, monthly, and weekly calendar ("Time Management Tips For Graduate Students", 2013). Created a calendar not only helps to keep you motivated it also helps with time management. Its important to be able to set aside the time needed to complete the assignments.

I knew whatever decision I made I would have to live with the outcome of that decision. I had to choose between several important things during this time of year. For a split moment, I felt that some of these choices acted on my emotions, and not what was best for my future. Some of the choices I made were to get a divorce, resign from a descent job, and to began college to obtain my bachelors degree.
