During 1848 reforms and revolutions, reforms were tried from below and were failure. So after 1850, a new set of politicians came into the scene who tried to get Socio Political rights and were advocating changes from above. So there were basically 3 models of reforms, i.e. French, British and Russian model of reforms. In France, people have demanded their rights in 1848 and Government accepted their demands and elections were held in 1848 but people soon lost the trust on the govt. Therefore new elections were declared in the same year in December. Napoleon III was also a contender in the December election and wanted to restore the French glory during his uncle Napoleon’s period in the Europe again. He promised prosperity, order and elimination of poverty which touched the heart of every people. But other contender didn’t take him seriously. For the 1st time in France, Universal Manhood Suffrage was applied and Napoleon III won the elections and became the president till 1851. After getting the post, he gradually started taking power in his hands and in 1852, he declared himself the emperor of France. He started working towards his promises and believed that every problem could be sort out through Prosperity. So he started towards making France more prosperous. He introduced heavy industries and new technologies to establish new enterprises and for capital, he looked into private banking. Meanwhile, with increase of demands of French goods in California and Australia, gold started coming to France in lieu of their products. Napoleon III introduced railways for the benefit of agriculture and industrial growth. This opened international markets for French agriculture. After the introduction of railways, agricultural production saw steep increase and this benefited French people. With the growth in agriculture and railway sectors, employment was created. Due
