MLK dove right in and expressed his hopes and visions to the whole of America. He believed that America good change for the better good. That all people were equal and integration was the best thing for this nation. Malcolm X also had a great vision but it was barbarian and wouldn’t suit the nearing future. Malcolm X rested assured that racial separation was the best for a fast-growing country.
This was somewhat a political decision that the United States needed to make in support of her allies. The U.S needed to prioritize strategy in choosing how they would act after the bombing of Pearl Harbor and Hitler’s military success’s in Europe. The U.S had two options as to how they would proceed with military action. We knew if Russia collapsed that would allow Hitler to then fully focus his attention to defeating the British as well as helping out the Japanese which was a great ally of Hitler. The Japanese military success with the bombing of Pearl Harbor was obviously of great importance to the United States but helping our allies defeat Hitler took precedence after Winston Churchill asked the president Franklin D. Roosevelt for support in defeating Hitler.
Also, he was the first President to be elected after the Civil War. Cleveland did many things that many other Presidents will never get a chance to do. Served from: 1885–1889 and 1893–1897 Haile’ S. Jones Microsoft 1885–1889 and 1893–1897 Stephen Grover Cleveland was a loved President, so loved that he won the popular vote three times, in 1884, 1888, and 1892. Grover was born on March 18, 1837 in Caldwell, New Jersey and he died on June 24, 1908. Cleveland was the fifth of nine children and he had five sisters and three brothers.
The ambush that woke the nation was intent of war. “The United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the empire of Japan” (President Franklin Roosevelt). I think that the words suddenly and deliberately were used adequately to impose a great feeling of threat. I think that it worked and it helped prepare
He felt strongly about keeping good relations with other countries, but at the same time warned Americans of the danger of remaining isolated from a world that was slowly being taken over by dictators in Germany, Italy, and Japan. He was in turn dominated by an isolationists Congress that felt that U.S involvement in World War I was a big mistake and were determined to prevent the United States from being drawn into another European war. When World War II broke out in Europe in 1939, Roosevelt called Congress into special session to revise neutrality acts to permit allies to buy American arms on a “cash-and-carry” basis. But Great Britain quickly became
Franklin Delano Roosevelt, 32nd President of the United States, was born in 1882 in Hyde Park, New York, to James and Sara Delano Roosevelt. He led the United States through the Great Depression and World War II. FDR was the only president to have ever served more than eight years in office. Roosevelt gave the nation hope with his bold statement, "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself" (http://www.whitehouse.gov/). Because of this and his unrelenting optimism, Franklin Roosevelt is widely regarded to be one of the greatest leaders of the United States.
When Hitler attacked Poland in September 1939, Roosevelt stated that, although the nation was neutral, he did not expect America to remain inactive in the face of Nazi aggression. Accordingly, he tried to make American aid available to Britain, France, and China and to obtain an amendment of the Neutrality Acts which was very difficult to obtain. He also took measures to build up the armed forces in the face of isolationist opposition. He kept playing cards with foreign policy, finding ways to aid the Allies against the Axis Powers. He advocated preparedness.
In my opinion I believe that Barack Obama should win the 2012 election because he has helped the united state. He always tries his best and never gave up since the beginning. He has been a good president by helping the economy, taxes, Afghanistan, energy and immigration. I think that Obama did a excellent job this last 4 years and I think he could do a better job if he gets elected one more
Washington talks to the people of the United States and tells them that he is not needed as president anymore and that the nation will do just fine without him as the leader. He believed that he was not qualified enough to take on the role of president. Washington strongly believed that the unity of the states will determine how well the nation does without him. He warned the people to look out for any evidence of suspicious things that would ruin the Union and would cause states to secede. People must believe they’re American’s and not just Texan’s or Iowan’s, meaning they need to fight for the country and not just for their state.
I guess in my mind he would have gone saving someone on the field or even better died an old man married with children and grand children. He was always a good person full of integrity and the clear vision of the right thing to do. Eric was always trying to help someone in every way that he could. In our video gaming he always had this catch phrase, which I asked him about and he told me “Did you ever notice that even in games I play good characters; I never play a bad guy, I always want to be the shining hero. so I came up with the phrase “To Be A Hero”.
