Franklin D Roosevelt, born on January 30th in 1882, Franklin D Roosevelt was 32nd president of the United States of America and the only president to be elected four times. As soon as he was elected to president in 1932, Franklin D Roosevelt gained the people’s trust. He was a great speaker as he was really enthusiastic about his goals and ambitions of making America get back to the level of success that the American people deserved. Roosevelt was all about the people. He believed the one thing that can save a nation was the people of the nation itself. That’s why during the WW2, Franklin D Roosevelt spoke constantly on the radio, reporting war events and rallying the American people in support of the war effort. This was beneficial for the people and himself as raising the people’s hope gave him motivation to do better. Franklin D Roosevelt was very clever in a sense. Roosevelt always kept the people on his side by telling them that its for their benefit even though sometimes it affected the people of the United States badly. Roosevelt knew if he helped Churchill during their time of disperse, Churchill will also help out United States when in need. And after Japan attacked the Pearl Harbor in 1941, Franklin D Roosevelt was more aware of the situation as United States was dragged into the war, and on top of that Germany and Italy declared war on United States as well. Franklin D Roosevelt acted smart, instead of waiting for the Germans to attack United States, Franklin D Roosevelt planned to attack the western front of Europe. The Day they attacked was called “D-Day” some say it means destruction day but technically it just meant Day Day, it was code used for the invasion. Franklin D Roosevelt was a great war leader because he didn’t let his homeland get invaded or even attacked by the Germans because he knew it was bring destruction to the people and Franklin D Roosevelt cant let that happen.
