Forrest Gump Critique Forrest Gump is still a very popular movie. Everybody knows about it and everybody loves it. Tom Hanks will always be known for forrest gump, it will always be his number one movie. You may not notice it but there were a ton of special effects in this movie. But what made this movie different was that the special effects were used to make the movie more believable and realistic, not to make the movie an action film with explosions. Tom Hanks did an amazing job talking with a heavy southern stupid accent. Tom just plays he role of Forrest so good how he moves how he feels about others his speech, everything is done perfect by Tom. Lieutenant Dan is also like a real life character because of his phenomenal acting. For the Lt. Dan role you had to play a wounded solider with no legs for the whole movie. He was mad at Forrest for saving his life but then later becomes very close to Forrest. It is simply amazing how they filmed lt. Dan with no legs. Anyone could have gotten fooled and believe that the actor truly did not have any legs because how realistic it looked. A quote is what makes someone remember the movie they just watched or the song they just listened to. It is a line from the movie that has somewhat a subliminal message to the whole movie. Forrest Gump has the most famous line of them all, “life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you you are gonna get” . If anyone knows the movie then they know that line. That is the lesson his mom teaches him throughout life, everyone is here for a reason and it is up to you to find out why and what your future holds. Another good quote said by Forrest is “stupid is as stupid does”. And that is another famous quote because it is how Forrest lives throughout the whole movie.
