The screening form will also allow the fitness provider to asses and decide if a client is even eligible to undertake a certain physical exercise program, for example someone with a pre-existing heart condition such as heart disease or a pacemaker may not be suitable to partake in a high intensity aerobics class due to the increased risk of heart attack. The PAR-Q is in place to proactively take steps to protect a client, it is not there to discriminate against their physical abilities or weaknesses, but to prevent them from an increased risk of injury or death that may occur due to physical exertion within the complex. The PAR-Q form, although simple, does provide enough basic information for the fitness provider to make recommendations as to the best plan of action each member could take to improve their health safely. It does require the honesty of the person filling in the questionnaire, and it would be of no benefit to either party to make false statements on it. Before filling in a PAR-Q it is best to have a health screen with your GP before
The Idea: I want to create a “value-pack” gym membership program that will allow customers to test out various gym’s facilities and classes before committing to a full membership. Too often, customers looking to stay fit will base their membership decisions on which gym is closest to their house or which gym their friends recommend. However, as we all know, what works for one person, doesn’t always work for their best friend which is why so many gym memberships go unused. I believe whether customers are new to the fitness scene or are looking to make a change in their exercise routine, everyone deserves the chance to make an educated decision about the future of their fitness. I plan to work with various, local gyms to create a diverse portfolio
Reasons for Fitness Testing: Assess current levels; monitor; progression; set goals; motivation; feedback from training programme; benchmark after returning from injury; use of repeat tests to establish gains; annual fitness checks. Why is it important to the public services? Current Levels: Assessing individual’s current levels of fitness is essentially important as it gives a rough idea of their capability, what they are and aren’t able to do. This means that goals can be set up for this person individually and personally in order for them to be the best of what they are capable of. If current levels aren’t properly assessed it means that people can get injured as a result, for example if a person has been referred to a PTI for a fitness program to get fit and this persons current levels of fitness have not been correctly assessed then this individual can get injured very easily which may put them off participating in physical activity as a result.
This work presents people with, in the reviewers opinion, qualitive data and personal observation. The qualitive data is represented by the select amount of athletes and coaches they interviewed and the personal observation was done by the coaches and athletes. Given that, it is possible that the work also included secondary material since the authors haven’t experienced any of what the coaches and athletes are talking about. The reviewer thinks that this article could demonstrate a thesis and also argue it because of the history that Compton has as a gang-run town and the evidence given to the authors by the athletes and others and how they are learning to succeed despite what they are faced with. Like one of the athletes interviewed stated (Beaver), “It’s easy to be like everyone else, being different is hard” (p.88).
The fitness application, Kin-Cirque Application, helped in monitoring every artist’s individual fitness needs. In diffusion stage also IT played an important role in connecting Cirque with the customers. The Cirque website was very intuitive and
Our patients may be receiving or need care from other organisations who will need information from us in order that we can work together. We have to share information with the NHS to ensure that treatment is properly funded and carried out. The information may not identify individual patients and is usually to help plan future needs of the NHS to check that we are performing satisfactorily, or that a type of treatment is effective. Our patients have the opportunity to refuse to have any students take part in their treatment. •Part of the students’ training may involve reviewing some patient records and test results.
Ipads, tablets, computers, and cellular smart phones are all pieces of technology that can be used for training in the workplace. There are programs that the organization will use to block certain training sites on these items so that the websites they pay to give training are the only websites that are available for training. Also, blocking these systems to a certain extent allows an organization to limit their employees from using their database to conduct personal business. For ethical reasons it may be important to limit the use of technology within the workplace. I will discuss these issues and topics further in more detail in this
Some qualities or attributes that will help me succeed as a health care professional began when I first started participating in sports. I needed to learn right away how to communicate with others to get a certain play accomplished. If communication gets misunderstood then the play would not work, and it works the same way with health care. I need to be able to communicate with other coworkers to know what procedure or treatment needs to be done next; otherwise, we could potentially hurt someone or kill someone. That is why learning communication in my sports became such an important
“All these personal counselling/therapy requirements for counsellors in training encourage selfish introspection. Counsellors are there to help others, and if they need counselling themselves, they should not be in the job.” Discuss with reference to your own experience and beliefs and to counselling literature. This statement is a criticism of the demand made by many training providers for their students to enter into personal therapy during their period of training. It also questions the suitability of practicing counsellors who have a need to attend therapy themselves. This essay will identify the past and current requirements for personal therapy during training of the largest British accrediting organisation for counselling and psychotherapy.
At Insite IDU must inject their own drugs and cannot be aided in the physical act of injection. Verbal guidance and some preliminary physical assistance is allowed which most IDU find helpful, however, the IDU that participated in the previous study conclude that; “…the rule against assisted injection at the SIF [is] a significant barrier to accessing health care, and therefore this policy should be re-evaluated” (6). Besides prevention of the spread of HIV/AIDS and HCV, Insite works hard to educate as many IDU as they can on safe injection. Education is a vital part of the services Insite offers and it should be given the same attention and dedication as prevention is given. This education should not only be limited to the patrons inside the safe injection facilities, but spread through word of mouth on the street.
