Acquire or Develop Talent Tanglewood should acquire talent, because it wants to keep performance and customer service at high levels. In addition, while old stores under Tanglewood have the same basic look, the management styles and human resource can use some improvements. Acquire talent is very helpful for new stores, because employees would “hit the ground running” and be at the peak performance the moment they arrive. Hire Yourself or Outsource Personally, I think Tanglewood should hire itself. Outsourcing is more practical for small and medium companies.

KUDLER FINE FOODS PROBLEM STATEMENT Introduction After analyzing the strategic plan for Kudler Fine Foods (KFF), many problems that will slow down the process of growth and success of the business are evident. My team members and I have discussed the issues involved with Kudler Fine Foods based on the information provided in the virtual internet/intranet web site (University of Phoenix, 2009). As a team, we have identified many issues within the organization, including poor upper-level management, poor organizational planning, inordinate reliance on perishable goods, a weak strategic plan, the owner’s mixing of personal and business finances, and the lack of a website for selling KFF products and services. Threats One threat for Kudler Fine Foods is in the process of inventory management. Excess inventory will always be a concern because it represents how much money is being tied up in merchandise that is not moving or generating further income. This can also lead to many write-downs of merchandise. The solution would be to maintain adequate levels of inventory so that stock-outs do not occur more than a couple of times a year. Adjustments to stock levels should be made if it is needed.
The decision to graduate an offender must be approved by the DTC judge. CONCLUSION This study will improve upon past studies including the BCDTC because this will follow the graduates longer than the 2 years. The information in the study will be continually updating as years go by. The additional years of follow up will provide a more detailed success-to-failure rate of the DTC. More detailed studies are important to help answer the effectiveness of DTC to rehabilitate better than incarceration.

You have plenty of locations and if you firmly believe in your company culture, than those who come work for you will stay. Overstaffing vs. understaffing Being a retail chain of stores I believe that during down season it would be better to be understaffed since you are not as large as other retailers and cannot afford to waste money. However, during high season you should overstaff since you want to maintain that great and comfortable experience for your customers that you are well known for. This is another reason for having a flexible workforce. Short vs. long-term focus In the case of short or long term focus when it comes to employment, it is my opinion that it depends on what you are looking for.
Relocation for hiring two cooks will become costly for the restaurant so not good strategy. So it is better to attract talented candidate through advertisement and some benefit like health insurance, some facility for cook’s family and some other rewards. Overstaff or Understaff: Buffalo Wild Wings must seek to be fully staffed. Overstaff will cause employees of the restaurant to remain idle and the restaurant needs to take steps to reduce head count such as layoff or early retirement plan. Keeping idle employee in employment will be expensive for the restaurant as the restaurant needs to pay salary to those employees even if it does not gain anything from them.
