Show Circuit has shown the ability to improve a dog’s phenotype and health as well. This unique type of dog food product is completely balanced, organic, made from fresh meats and cereals, contains no additives and preservatives and can be frozen. The advantage of it being in frozen form is that it will prevent spoiling. Now the First in Show Pet Foods Inc is trying to introduce this product to the general public. The goal of the company is for Show Circuit to be located in the frozen food section of supermarkets and they are starting in the Boston market area first because they are similar to an US state average population and are like to be receptive to healthier food options for their pets (Kerin and Peterson, 2010). Problem Identification The problems that the First in Show Pets Food Inc, may face when debuting this product to the general public is the competition from other dog food brands, distributor acceptance of the product at local supermarkets, and dog-owner acceptance of a new brand. Trying to persuade distributors to make room in the freezer section of the grocery store for dog food is another obstacle they must face. Some maybe reluctant to give that space up to pets when it could be for displaying human food instead.
