Some of them include John Zorn, Charlie Haden, Elvis Costello, Lee Kontiz, and Jack DeJohnette. It is hard to describe Frisell’s style. There are very drastic differences between songs that make this difficult. I listened to several songs and could not begin to describe a single characteristic that all of them possessed except for the amazing talent he has. I had a hard time deciding on a song to pick for this assignment.
I’ m sure everyone has been a Pseudo- Fan at at least a couple concerts; I know I have. They want to just go and have a great At these shows you of course have to have the Old Hippies. They are most definitely my favorite and most interesting people I come across at these concerts. You can’ t call it a real jam show without them. They range in age from early 40’ s to late 60’ s or seventies even.
After a while, the song makes the transition to being playful and light once again. The song decrescendos drastically and you’d think that it ended, but out of nowhere, the songs ends loud and with feeling. I, myself, had personally heard this song prior to the class. I had either played a similar version of it in orchestra, or heard it played by someone that had played for the orchestra before. So, I was a little more familiar with the song than others, but I never knew the meaning behind it all.
The conductor must not only be aware of what every musician is doing, but be aware of what each musician is supposed to be doing according to the score. It is amazing how many things that we are unaware of. Seeing how different a conductor was than my previous mental image made me think of how much else in this world is different than we normally perceive it to be. Joel Smirnoff was an interesting guy. Even though he is the president of CIM, I have never really seen his personality before today.
Woodstock was three days of music and peace. It started August 15,1969. With over half a million people who attended, it is known today as the greatest rock concert ever! The concert was on a huge farm, which was the perfect size. The police was sure they would have it prepared, but unfortunately they were not ready for 500,000 people, but what made Woodstock so special?
The dove stood for peace and the guitar (of course) stood for music. Arnold Skolnick commented on the turnout of the festival, "Something was tapped, a nerve in this country, and everybody just came”, and it’s true that many did indeed come for the peace and

“When I sing, I believe. I'm honest.”- Frank Sinatra Every day we hear the songs of new artist on the radio and we are captivated by them, at least for a little while. But, there are few artists who stand the test of time. As an artist, you can say that you made it big when ten, twenty, even thirty years after you die, people are still listening to your music. As good old Mr. Sinatra said, “If I can make it here, I can make it anywhere.” Francis Albert Sinatra was born on December 12, 1915 in Hoboken, New Jersey.
Another, Ace Frehley was then auditioned as the lead singer and the four officially became known as the band KISS in January of 1973. After this year, the rest of the story wrote itself. The first show that the band had ever preformed together is called Popcorn and after being heard at that club in Queens, KISS was becoming known to the world. They appeared live and struck an interest with the audience, the record sales then started to explode. A fan club known as The KISS Army was then born in late November of 1975, showing the peoples interest in the band, and from this, the band gave the fans what they wanted.
This choice by Mr. Davis I felt was a risky one because there were a lot of songs in that play that not everyone in the audience was familiar with. I was glad that a few of the actors I had graduated with as well as myself were in the audience because we did this play a few years ago and still knew all the words to the songs. It was however a good way to get the audience involved with the play and to keep them on their toes. I feel as if Mr. Davis didn’t want the audience to just have to sit quietly and absorb, The Wizard of Oz is a well-known show and movie so it was a good choice for what he wanted to accomplish. This affected the audience because not very many people were prepared to be actively involved and were surprised at first, but as the show progressed many relaxed considerably and had a great time.
