Most Americans may believe that abortion is wrong, and should be illegal. If one is a Christian and believes in the word of God, abortion is looked at as an act of murder, and it involves shedding innocent blood. Christians believe that electing to have and abortion would be a violation of the Golden Rule, and it attempts to destroy a work of God. One would say that abortion often brings about shame, guilt, heartache, and deep regret.
Even in the case of rape, the RC Church does not support abortion - the foetus would be paying for someone else’s crime. “Human life is sacred”. No civilized society permits one human to intentionally harm or take the life of another human without punishment, and abortion is no different. We see murder as an awful, hideous crime, but yet we stick up and protect abortion like its absolutely okay. When you chose to no longer carry that child, you are choosing to not only strip that child of a chance at life but also you are taking away God`s gift to that child, and how is that right, because you most certainly got to live? It is absolutely inhumane and wrong, because abortion can be considered murder, since the fetus has already began its journey toward birth and a life. Secondly, abortion can lead to severe medical and psychological issues down the road.
This characteristic of non-commitment that is symbolic of so many aspects of modern day life has led certain individuals to reject a fetus under the credence that it in itself is not a person, and therefore is not entitled to the rights any other individual can receive. On the other side victims of rape, incest, and molestation rightfully assert that to carry the fetus to term would prove impossible. Certain women due to medical conditions or threats to health state that delivering the baby would be equivalent to forfeiting their own lives. There are yet other factions who practice sex selective abortions and abort children based on their gender; this is commonly practices in countries such as India & China and where in the value of a male child that of a female child exceeds. This is not only a repulsive form of discrimination but it skews the gender ratios that present enormous problems for future generations.
Pro-life is the opposing argument to pro-choice, and that abortions should be made illegal like in Northern Ireland unless the mother’s life is at serious risk. Many Religions have the traditional view that abortion is a sin. It is argued that if a teenager becomes pregnant and has an abortion they may come to regret this in later life, because at the time they were only a minor. The argument for Pro-life is a choice by people who feel that it is wrong to take a man life, weather that human has been born or not is irrelevant. Abortion is seen as no different to murder.
Moreover children should not come into the world unwanted as this only increases the already high number of orphans. In some cases some parents/peoples simply cannot afford to raise children and this leads to babies being born into poverty. On the other hand people that are anti-legal abortion strongly believe that personhood begins from the moment of conception and claim fetuses have a fundamental right to life which should be protected. Additionally women should use contraceptives and not abortion to prevent unwanted pregnancies as it doesn’t allow the woman to even reach that stage of having to consider abortion. Correspondingly selective abortion based on genetic abnormalities is overt discrimination.
Focusing in Thailand this subject has been a major cause to generate controversy as women argue for their productive right, this subject has all so passing the Fourth World Conference on Women, in which the Asian have moved in to the forefront. In Thailand there are many factors that are causing women to get pregnant, the prostitute industry, rape and teenagers mate are some of the major causes. Most of the cases of women pregnancy in Thailand are causes by accident or unwanted. It is a right full thing for these women to design if they will terminate their baby. But still there are people who argue that it shouldn’t been done, it is a moral crime to kill their own unborn baby.
