Most of us take pictures with our cell phones, our digital cameras, and sometimes we have even taken pictures with disposable cameras. But did you know that a lot of famous photographers prefer to take pictures with a manual film camera, why because of the quality of the picture. So today I will be teaching you how to take a picture with a 35mm camera (aka film camera). But before we can actually take the photo we have to do two things. First we have to learn about are camera in order to take a good picture. Then we have to learn how to load the film in to our camera. The camera I have is a Vivitar 35mm camera, so depending on the type of camera you have it might be a little different. So first you would have to set your film speed. Your film speed can be found on your film box, for example my film speed is 400. To set this on to my camera, I need to lift this ring up and turn it until it reaches 400. This is very important because if you don’t do this your pictures are going to come out blurry. Next you need to know how to work you’re aperture ring. This is found on the lens of your camera, and it will be the ring that is the closest to the camera. This ring controls how much light is let in to the camera. The numbers on the aperture ring are 22, 16, 11, 8, 5.6, 4, 2.8, and 1.7. The only thing you need to know here is that the higher the number, the more light will be let in to the camera. The next thing you need to know is how to work your shutter speed dial. This dial is this circle, which controls the amount of time that the light is let in to the camera. It is very important that you remember that since you have a 35mm camera your shutter speed cannot be any lower than 35. The way the shutter speed works is that you just turn the circle, and just like the aperture ring the higher the number the more time the light will be let in to the camera. However
